Wonder if the guy had insurance to cover the theft? An elderly guy near here drove his mower and trailer through an old path to the dumpster. When he went to leave it wouldn't start. He walked back home to get the truck. While he was gone a passer by saw the outfit and thought it was trashed. Got his trailer and loaded up. The old guy reports it stolen and files a claim. The passer by hears about it and returns the mower/trailer with an apology. The old guy gets kinda ticked because the insurance was about to buy a new outfit. I hope things work out for you!
