I think the people who originally marketed MMO were way ahead of their time with knowing what it took to grab the consumers attention and hoodwink them into believing they've bought something really special. If they'd have named it Marvel Lubricating Oil, it probably would've flopped. Stick that "Mystery" word in there and you know what happens. I'm sure if they bottled kerosene, added some color and some special odor it would have been accepted as the greatest thing since sliced bread. On the other hand, maybe it really is a mystery oil and even the manufacturer doesn't know what's in it.
