I would explain to them just as you did here, your equipment is old and it never comes back in the shape it left in, then mabye you could hire yourself out to do it for them, you probably dont have the time but I'm sure you know someone that does and that you would trust with your equipment, you didn't take 'em to raise, I'd see to it they either paid me for my equip. or they go buy them one of them little gray market Yanmars or a Kubota or something, your a farmer and I'm sure you know your part of a dying breed and you dont deserve to be taken advantage of.
