I am new to this tractor restoration stuff. I recently fell in love with the idea of restoring an old tractor when I was helping a friend of mine restore an old 1953 Ford 2N. My uncle has a n old 1933-1934 Farmall F-12 that he wanted to sell so I am going to buy it from him. What I need to know is if there is anyone out there who knows what color this tractor was supposed to be originally. The best I could tell the paint that is left on the tractor is red not the dark charcole that I thought was typical of a 1933-34. Is it possible that it is maybe a 1935-1937. How do i tell the year on it? Where would I find the VIN number. Are there good places to look to learn about restoring this old tractor, like web pages or books. I would apreciate your help and any info would be greatly appreciated.
