Looking for some information on the mid 50's ford dextra tractor. It is the same size as a 2000 tractor with a 3 cylinder diesel engine. The lift cap and arms have been replaced and rebuilt, but the lift is still very slow and the pump is getting really hot. I have put ford 924 fluid in the reservoir but the pump is still very slow and getting really hot. What are my options, and is the tractor worth fixing and going through all of the trouble of possibly locating a new pump or maybe even a rebuild kit. My local dealer has told me that they cannot get a rebuild kit for the pump and that most people do not even bother with fixing them. The little tractor runs to good just to get rid of and any help would be greatly appreciated.
