Ok guys...got the 52' TO 30 Fergie delivered yesterday...Rode it around for a while to get use to it.. Changed oil hit all of the zerks with fresh grease...also got a 7' woods rm600 finish mower for it. I adjusted the mower deck link pins to get the deck as far away from the tractor as possible..now here is my question...the mower shaft is still about 2 inches too long (partly due to the 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 adapter on the PTO).....would it be easier to have the shaft cut or to find (if possible) a 1 1/8 splined yolk so I could take the adapter off and gain the room I need...If the shaft needs cut, is that something I should take to a machine shop (to assure that it's balanced) or can I carefully cut it myself....your advice is greatly appreciated (the grass is getting high!) Thanks Eb
