Noland: Your not quite right. I was not totally correct either. This isn't a medical forum but the ringing is an "after-the-fact" indication that the damage(nerve damage only) is all ready done. That is NOT considered "pain". It is an agravation and is noticed AFTER being damaged. You are true that some damage can be repaired.. but that is chancy. It ain't worth taking that kind of a chance in my view. Details aside, back to tractors being quiet. Gene
