We went from a carburetor kit to a battery to a
coil. The battery was very weak so we replaced it.

We were told the coil was burned. So we got a new coil but the coil we put on it melted! What could've caused this??!!

Could this have happened from charging a battery with battery cables using a 12 volt battery? The tractor battery is only a 6 volt.

We will install the coil this weekend, and see what now.

Anyone have any suggestions that can help. That is besides taking it in to have it repaired!
