I agree with the others that you should let your personal preferences determine what you like, because that's the only way you'll be happy with what you have. I don't think very many people have made money collecting tractors, so I'm not sure what the importance of "collectibility" would be. Now, I've never seen the book you're talking about, but a collectibility rating would probably rank the tractors based on the number manufactured, somehow coupled with the popularity of the brand. Sure, it's always nice to be able to take something to a show that few people have seen before, but that's not enough to make it "desireable," in my eyes.
