I have found cutting the blooms off when they are first showing color followed by a spray of 24D mixed with Remedy at 2 tbl. spoons of each per gallon of water applied w/ hand sprayer on each plant on a very still day or stand up wind . This has almost finished off any jap thistle around here. in Georgia.The imporant thing is not to let the blooms bust open and the seed blow all over. That is what spreads them. If you spray with the blooms on they may open and spread. .05 worth
