I would pick a tractor that I like..Depending on how big the logs are..If they are large (20"x15'long)You need a tractor like :John Deere "B","A" or "G" -- Farmall "C","H" or "M"...Any of these tractors will do the job..the JD "A" & "G" and Farmall "H" & "M" is over kill...they will play with your job. Most of these are, narrow front -- but they also can be found, wide front...I don't know how your lot lays, you will have to decide ,which front you feel confortable with....If your ground is "hilly",set the wheels ,wide....I like FARMALLs ,I have a 1951, "M" that I am restoring.. Just make sure that you buy a sound tractor that starts and runs well..you need a tractor that is ready to go to work...look around your area for a " OLD TRACTOR" club, when you find something you like ask one of the members to go look at it with you...Feel free to ask me any questions,I am glad to help....Don
