Cutting of the hay help control thistle, and eventually the hay will choke the thistle out
but it may take a couple of years. I would get
what they call a wick, mix up roundup and 24d
and after the thistle out grows the alphalfa
wic the thistle with the two chemicals that will
kill them and not damage the clover or alphalfa.
