I personally think the D17 is one of the best tractors built. The D19 is his big brother. If you know the guy and trust him, i think a D19 would be a great tractor, plently of muscle for any job. I do agree that a backhoe is not necessarily the best thing to mount on a farm tractor for steady use. this is more of a part time use thing. If you want a backhoe constantly, i would think about an industrial unit with permanent mount.
