I've heard of these Frantz (sp?) oil filters. Is this for real or is it a running joke, like snipe hunting? Interesting about Amsoil. Is it equivalant to Mobile One? What are your driving habits? Long distance or stop and go? If your driving is 20 miles or more each trip, you could do Wally world changes every 6000 miles, cutting the oil expense to $650, and I bet you would have similiar engine wear as you do now. But maybe not, I would be interested to see. I've heard of mail delivery vehicles that have 600,000 miles plus before an overhaul using mineral oil. Over-the-road trucks usually go 300,000 to 500,000 miles before overhauls. So driving habits and engine design have something to do with it.
