a gas station changed owners here about 10 years ago and when the new pumps were put in they were metric .guess what? that lasted about 3 days the people would drive up to the pump and drive away .i agree the metric system is muoh simpler and better . after you learn it. by the way our numbering system is arabic which predates metrics.
