Before that law, & possibly for a while after, there was a fellow that owuld pick up feed from the feed mill with barge boxes. I think he had 5 most of the time. It was a real train going down the road! They were fairly small barge boxes & I believe he was on level roads fairly close to the small town feed mill.

Now a lot of farmers have 2 600 bu wagons. Or a 700 & 600 bu together. Whew, that's a lot for one axle to stop.
