A few weeks ago there was a terrible accident involving a crane in N.C.along hiway 85/40 near Burlington.According to news reports the crane was lifting some type of concrete bridge casing,the load shifted and load swung into path of a Toyota Camry traveling 70+ mph,killing driver instantly.Looking back on that day the wind was blowing some kind of terrible and i'm sure that was a factor in this accident.I pass through the area every day and was thinking that the construction zone was a little small for the workers and motorist alike.After the accident the D.O.T and OSHA did an investigation and the contractor was fired from job,I also noticed that an extra lane was blocked off to give to construction crew more room.
