Well EB Tex, it's obviously your choice but there's not a lot wrong with metric sizes - as long as they are standard ones. Remember, just about every where else in the world is metricated!! Even most 'imperial' bearings have been metric for many a year. The main reason I want manufacturers to continue making the others is because I neeed them for my hobby! And oh yes, the rods should be chromed if they are not made in a modern stainless steel. Over here in Britain, we hear quite a deal from the 'Imperial system preservationists' but a lot of them are really anti-Europe, not anti-metric. If it's built well it won't break, metric or imperial - the problem these days is they are designed by computer with no extra strength added for lasting more than it's designed life-time, which is often not very long in our hobby terms. If only..... they could design a better package for stacking than the dozen size(4x3)!! Just my 2p worth, metric RAB

The need for fabricating becomes obvious when you go to buy any of these
