Best Spark Plug for John Deere LA????

I have approximately 1 hours run time on a completely remanufactured John Deere LA engine. At first the engine ran perfectly smooth. It has gotten progressively rougher running. Adjusting the idle air mixture doesn't seem to help smooth out the idle. I have Autolite 226 spark plugs in it. Took one of the plugs out and it was badly fouled...but the electrodes were not bridged over. What would be a better choice of spark plugs? Thanks, AWB
