For sure the Case V had the magneto from the factory. As a matter of fact, a Case history book I've got here says that was the weak point of the tractor (if the mag was a "Spitdorf" brand). They were later replaced by some other brand at the Case factory. My tractor had a rebuilt mag with the tractor in a cardboard box ... I assume it will fit on and work OK (I haven't started the restoration yet). This one is a Fairbanks Morse magneto model number FM X4B3 if that's of any help.
