Ok, probably not Canary due to heigth since it wasn't cut for at least 4 years and was only around knee high. The heads are only about 2-3 inches long. Also, it seemed to me last year to have a slightly sweetish scent to it, not the regular grass smell. The extension guy didn't know what it was, which wasn't very impressive. And he saw it at full maturity. I've checked on the 'net a couple times now and geez it's tough to get any REAL info about such a thing. I need pictures. The Timothy at the link is way more bushy than what I had last year, the leaves at my pasture weren't nearly as high as the tops. Could that be because of the poor growth due to the duff reamining for years?
