Southern Bill, I seem to remember that the towing capacity for your drivetrain is 3500#. A lot of people will tell you that they haul much more than that with theirs. Be conservative and look for as light a trailer as possible that will haul your tractor. It is a shame that Ford quit offering a heavy duty manual in the 150 series. Up through the eighties you could still get the 4 speed (3speed with creeper) with the 300 six. That was a very strong combo. I have a well built 16 foot car hauler type trailer that I use to haul my tractors and equipment. The empty weight is 1200#. My guess is that your 55 with a loader and loaded tires will weigh at least 4500# to 5000#. If you are going to tow this on a regular basis it may take a toll on your drivetrain.
