After most tractor makers could use the 3 point hitch without patent infringments, they still provided a more or less conventional drawbar to pull conventional implements. The hitch point on 3 point drawbars is usually too far back from the rear axle centerline to pull anything around any corner or much of a turn without the implement's draft load affecting the steering of the tractor. Pulling wagons with this hitch can be a little precarious too, if braking and the tractor gets sideways to the line of draft because of a turn. The best place to hitch conventional implements is to the conventional drawbar if provided. That's why the major tractor makers provided them in addition to the three point equipment, most of 'em did anyway.
