My 2 cents: My uncle Henry used a drawbar in the 3-point on a Super 55 to pull his disk and his Athens Bog harrow, as well as trailers. My own experience is you do need stabilizers and you should have bracing to the third link mount on the tractor, so the drawbar can't rise much if stopping or backing up. I do recall pulling a leaf vacum with a drawbar once, When I backed up, the drawbar kinked the clevis hitch on the vacum and nearly tore it off. so watch your drawbar when turning and especially backing up.
