I'm glad you asked the question, Newbie, because I've been kinda wonderin the same thing myself. Just in looking at the way my Eagle hitch is built on my VAC, I think I will avoid trying to pull anything too heavy with it. It may well be strong enough but why take a chance on staving it up? When I bought my tractor, one of the bolts that serves as a hinge was bent pretty bad and pulling something too heavy may have been the reason for that. In my case (oOOh, I made a pun!) I have a regular draw bar anyway...a longitudinal one, so I'll just use it.
