I am using the factory wiring harness that runs a wire to each light from the switch, so each light comes on at different positions on the switch. Each of these wires are hooked to one of the wires on the lights. The other wire on the lights runs straight to a ground between the lights. I am sure that they are wired up right. I tried running a second ground wire to rule out a bad ground but that wire got hot and started to smoke so I pulled it off.
