Carb. for 454

The original Rochester carburetor on my'84Chevy 454 has finally gone south,lost 5 mpg on an already gas hog, and it sputters and chokes when I step on the gas and won't pull worth beans, there is lots of wear on the old one so I know it is bad, so, what is a good carburetor for this engine? since I will be buying a new one I want a good one. Any opinions? Thanks
