I agree 100%!! It sounds to me that the power valve is stuck . Throttle shaft or casting worn will just a little air leak that you can overcome by a extra half turn on the idle fuel/air screws- won't affect performance. Also if autochoke is not coming off all the way, the 4bbl won't open . Someone that knows what their doing could probably fix it in less than an hour. My opinion and experience with the Holleys' is same too!!
