Copper wire and plug source?

I'm told copper wires work better for most older tractors over the carbon type. Where can I get them premade or what type of wire should be used? Also I trying different plugs for my tractors. Have been through champion, ac, motorcraft, and am currently trying NGK. Any others that might work better than these? What about copper vs platinum plugs and I could use your thoughts on the bosch style too. Are they worth the money?
