Tom, I have the EXACT same problem with my '90 B2200 at 320,500 miles. Search as I may I can not find an in-line check valve. I am being led to believe that the vacuum check valve is internal to the booster. FWIW, temperature has ZERO to do with the problem as it again occurred Friday in 80 degree temperatures. I'll post back if i ever figger it out !! Ed in 'ole Virginny
