To clarify what I believe you are saying:
Your loader currently is using a PTO mounted pump and want to remove that pump as you need to use the PTO for something else.
I think you are saying you are having a clearance issue getting the drive adapter (you called adapter plate) mounted on the dampener pulley. This drive is needed to connect a drive shaft to which will drive a front mounted pump (a totally different pump, NOT the same PTO pump your loader currently uses). A PTO pump is not to be driven directly from the engine due to speed limitations.
Is this correct? If not, please explain the issue in more detail and perhaps add a few pictures of the interference.
