Has anyone tried this before??

You'd have to have some sort of gear
reduction. About 4:1 to keep 540 pto speed
at engine operating speed. 540 pto speed x4
equals 2160 rpm engine speed. Unless using
a 1,000 rpm pump, then about 2:1 reduction.
You could also use a pto extension, slide
your pump on and still have the pto shaft
sticking out past the pump. We had one on
an M and could use the trailing mower with
the PTO pump on it at the same time.

To clarify what I believe you are saying:

Your loader currently is using a PTO mounted pump and want to remove that pump as you need to use the PTO for something else.

I think you are saying you are having a clearance issue getting the drive adapter (you called adapter plate) mounted on the dampener pulley. This drive is needed to connect a drive shaft to which will drive a front mounted pump (a totally different pump, NOT the same PTO pump your loader currently uses). A PTO pump is not to be driven directly from the engine due to speed limitations.

Is this correct? If not, please explain the issue in more detail and perhaps add a few pictures of the interference.

Jeez, now that makes a whole lot more
sense! I read it as adapting a pto pump to
run off of the crankshaft. Comprehension
and context can make a world of difference!

Yes I want to add a front pump and eliminate the pto pump
I purchased a front pump drive plate and shaft but the drive plate won t fit between the engine pulley and the axle cradle, also appears that not enough clearance for the mounting bolts, further more the center of the axle pin wasn t large enough for the shaft to fit through , I turned the shaft down a bit on my lathe to allow it to fit through the hole but I still have the problem with the drive plate not having enough clearance to fit

Is it that the drive hub won't fit or that it won't fit because there is not enough room to install it, but would be ok if it was in and bolted up? Those are two different levels of ''won't fit''.

If it is lack of room to install the drive hub, the front support may need to be loosened and moved away from the engine during the installation.

If it is that the drive hub wouldn't fit if in place, there is a possibility is the drive hub you got may be thicker than some.

Post some pictures of the drive hub and what you are encountering at the front of the engine/axle support. Someone may spot something in the pictures to shed more light on your problem.
