On a Farmall 656, there is a line that comes off the right side of the torque tube, runs up under the platform, and connects to the hydraulic system under the seat. I think the 544 and utility models have the same line.
That's your hydraulic supply line. Someone needs to confirm for me, but I believe you can disconnect it from under the seat, re-route it to a joystick valve for your loader, then run the power beyond output from that valve back to where you disconnected the original line. That gives you a joystick valve for the loader and gives you back your two factory valves. You'll need to run a third line from the loader valve's output port back to the rear end of the tractor.
