Do any of you remember the phrase ''Get on the stick''? My mother used to use it in various forms like: ''You better get on the stick or I'm gonna get on the stick''. It meant to get things done or to get busy. She grew up in eastern NC. It must have been a term from there because I've never heard it other than from her when I was growing up. I'm curious about how wide spread it may have been.
