This past weekend I attended an an antique tractor auction as I have been doing for the past 30+ years and saw something odd, at least it appeared that way. Always standing at the edge of the crowd was a uniformed police officer that was obviously watching the crowd and on duty. Now I have been to large auctions where police were present at the exits and checking the people leaving with items against their bill of sale receipts, that I consider normal.
This past weekend high a school football payoff game had to change venue due to treats of violence, that is not normal for my area.
