I have a 1947 john Deere B that I got running, it runs really strong but sometimes it randomly starts to die and blows alot of black smoke, and last time it did this I noticed it was spraying unburned gas out of the petcocks under the block, I'm wondering if it's because the choke valve on the carburetor sometimes closes and dumps gas in the cylinder causing it to somewhat flood and shoot black smoke. If thats right can someone tell me how to get the carburetor choke valve to stop doing that, if that's not the case then can someone tell me why the tractor is doing that. Any help is greatly appreciated.
