Someone had mounted the front tires on my Cub tubeless, unbeknownst to me. They never leaked a bit of air, ever.
They were tires off of a Renault LeCar and annoyed me greatly.
One day I broke down and bought new tri-rib tires and tubes.
When I unmounted the old tires they were glued on with all manner of silicones and goops. Took hours to get it all cleaned off with a wire wheel on my angle grinder.
Put the new tires and tubes on. Both tires now have slow leaks and need air every few months. One tire was dead flat one day when I went in the barn. Tube had split.
Moral of the story is tubes are not the end all be all.
