After all the great tips and advice on this topic, I've narrowed down to a couple more questions. I'll try to explain as best I can.
1) is there such thing as adapters for NPT to ORB threads? Or NPT to JIC? I think I can put OBR to JIC adapter on the p40 valve but will existing hoses work on the adapter JIC side?
2) what's the difference between JIC and NPT? My guess is that it is a high pressure fitting, leak free, Unlike NPT! The NPT, JIC and ORB conversion is really messing with my head.
I tend to make things more difficult than it should be but in my experience, more info can stop a disaster. My worst fear is hooking this up and leaks everywhere. Not so concerned about the operation side, just using the right parts.
