Obviously most of it is not getting scrapped. This scrap dealer realizes that they have more than scrap here and it has value beyond scrap. So where is the shame?
None of that stuff is really high dollar equipment. You could be months or years trying to sell it off piecemeal, and there isn't enough there for it to be worth the auctioneer's time UNLESS he takes most of what things sell for as commission.
Sometimes you're money, time, and frustration ahead telling the scrap man to come in, take everything, and pay you by the pound.
In this case the scrap man is a good egg and isn't just cutting everything up. Folks are getting good deals on some rare and weird equipment.
