Dave it runs hot at an idle it takes about 8 minutes and if I drive it it takes about 5 minutes Im in the proper gear no revving of the engine. Yes to all your questions its spews out the overflow tube. It steams and one can smell it, and it runs hot on the gauge as well. All the indicators of it running hot. I have put a temperature probe in it, and the temperature gauge is correct when it starts to run hot it goes fast not just a gradual incline itll go from approximately 185 to 220 fast thats when I shut it down I had the radiator rotted out last year and the man told me that eventually I would have to replace my radiator, but he didnt give me any details why
