I bought a complete tractor for a friend, a few years ago, It was in bits and when we stripped the engine, the block was cracked from top to bottom, went back to the seller, another friend, and he pulled a brand new block off the shelf, still in Perkins grease and wrapped in paper.
One piston was broken too so I brought a new piston back from Australia in my baggage. That tractor went to Holland on the back of my Land Rover Discovery and trailer.
This was in 2011 and the total cost was around 3000.00 pounds sterling.
