I agree. The only auction I would consider selling it is one that is fairly large and you know will be well attended. It takes at least two bidders to run the price up - what you are selling might be desirable, but it has a very limited market. At a small auction you could easily end up taking it in the shorts. To be honest I know a lot of people, but I don't know a single person that collects MM tractors - in a crowd of 100 you might have one collector that will be willing to run up the sales price - you need two.
Online auctions would seem like the way to go - but how many MM collectors are that connected to Big Iron or Auction Time? You can either deal with the tire kickers or you can let it go cheap - you won't get it both ways.
