Thanks mine does have the sprocket hub and I pressed that bearing on the axle and put it all back together and it took the play out. Hope to put it back on the tractor this week and see if the noise is gone. The guy I bought it from said his foot slipped off the clutch and after that the knocking started. I wonder if it is possible that bearing came loose from that. Thanks for the help I am learning as I go on tractor restoration
