That photo of the GMC brings back memories. Dad bought a new '55 Chevy to replace the '41. Wish we had both of them. The '55 was a long wheel base 1/2 ton with a six engine and 4 speed tranny. Plain-Jane, not even a radio. We worked the devil out of that thing. Hauled wheat, milo barley and other grain in the summer, hauled silage and hay bales in the winter, drove it to school often. Just plain worked it to death. Always liked that body style but they sure were subject to rust and it wasn't long before the doors and windows didn't work right.
