If you are looking at the replies under your post in the JD section, they are not replies to your post, they are just posts in the index. Open your post and there are no replies. Those RE.s are replies to an old post and they show that way because that is how Classic treats replies to old posts. If you look at your post on the JD Forum you should see the difference where I replied to you. The reply to your post is indented, not directly below it.
As for your problem it sounds like you need to get out your test light or voltmeter and start chasing the individual wires. It may be mouse damage, or it might be bad connections in plug together connectors. There could also be ground issues with the light sockets.
