I rented one for 5 days to use on our place after we first purchased it. Did a great job. Our intent was to put the area into pasture. If you want a hay field or lawn you need to use something else. The stumps can be ground down to surface level but the wood chips left are too large & too numerous to be able to use the area as lawn or hayfield unless you do additional work. Takes 2-4 years for all the debris to degrade & incorporate into the soil. Only downside I ran into was picking up the remains of an old fence that I did not know about. Took about 2 hours, in 100* heat, to cut the barbed wire off the mulcher reel.
