If it really is a magneto the answer is no - its not connected in anyway to the battery. If its a distributor you might be able to but it won't take long to burn up the points and maybe other stuff. Not sure what a 12 volt jump will do to a6 volt charging system. If its a magneto you could just tow it to start it or use a hand crank if you have one.
