As as retired KUBOTA dealer I do not really like to get in to these things because there is always someone wanting to argue. That being said the recommended oil 10/30 will in fact run cooler, as it is going thru the engine faster and extracts some of that top heat to the oil pen. Before someone argues nothing wrong i with 15/40 and in older used stuff it really has it's place . Newer oils are far superior to what we had 20 years ago.
