If the owners caught a few of them and shot them dead it would deter a lot of theft. Like trespassing a waste of time to catch them and have the cop there they can give them a chance to leave on their own if they do then game over. Some of them need to be just flat jailed for the day or night to think about it then just let them out no booking on the first time then if it happens again lock em up and prosecute.
