Wife and I have been wearing hearing aids for about 10 years. Our first pairs were battery powered and a PIA when batteries died especially at critical or interesting moments. We now use rechargeable hearing aids. They can be controlled either by touching the aid or using the bluetooth connection of our cell phones. They can also allow hands free talking and hearing the cell phone even across a room. We keep our battery aids as emergency backups.
